R Course | May 2024

Our new Introduction to Meta Analysis with R course with Dr Carla Perrotta and Prof Cathal Walsh of Trinity College Dublin will take place from 22-23 May on the Belfield campus.

  • MA of Continuous Outcomes
  • Exploring heterogeneity

We are running a 2.5 day course in-person at UCD, Belfield in Dec 2024 (dates TBD). Registration will open in Oct 2024. CPD accreditation is pending through the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (6 CPD credits/day). Topics include:

INTRODUCTION TO STATISTICS WITH R

  • Hypothesis tests - comparing means and risks
  • Correlation
  • Hypothesis tests - assumptions and alternatives

 

REGRESSION WITH R

  • Effect sizes
  • Introduction to linear models
  • Linear regression and assumptions
  • Variable selection and model building
